Corner of Blessing
We're in the DIAPER DERBY for KidVantage. May 11-June 6
Sound the Bugle Call to Post!
Saint Andrew’s Lutheran is once again participating in the KidVantage (formerly called Eastside Baby Corner) 11th Annual Diaper Derby. The event runs from May 2 to June 6. This is our 6th year “racing.”
The Diaper Derby is a race between businesses and organizations to collect diapers for babies living in poverty or crisis. Donating diapers is a win-win! You are giving local kids the things they need, and helping our team win the race!
In 2024, 40 participating companies and organizations collected more than 158,000 diapers, 51,000 diaper wipes, and contributed over $9,000 to purchase diapers/wipes for kids living right here in our community!  This keeps kids dry and healthy while removing a serious barrier to family stability.
How the Derby Works:
  • Diaper Derby starts May 2 so don’t donate until then!!!
  • Points are attached to each diaper donated and for packages of wipes. The larger sizes (size 4 and up and well as pull-ups) are most needed.
  • Each “race horse” is in a race with like-sized organizations so we aren’t competing against Microsoft or other mega-stallions. We have a chance to be the best in our class!
How to participate:
  • Bringing diapers and/or wipes to the Corner of Blessing during the month of May.
  • Starting May 2nd, you can make financial donation or buy diapers through their
Giving Catalog at: https://kidvantagenw.org/diaper-derby/ During checkout, you will find a box labeled Campaign Code.  Here will enter “Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church” or our horse’s name “Dandy Andy”.  This gives our “horse” credit for your donation.
  • The last of the diapers on hand at church will be delivered to KidVantage no later than June 6 by members of the Outreach and Servant Ministries committee.
  • Let’s help our struggling young families to not have to choose between feeding the family or buying diapers! For more information, contact Liz Rudolph.
